I knew I was going to enjoy Dudley "Dud" Gifford's erotic artwork when I clicked on a piece which depicted a half-naked witch riding upon an erect penis with the caption "Best goddamn broom I ever had." I love it. I also love the rest of Gifford's work, which ranges from highly sexualized images of solo men and women to couples to sexy cartoons, such as the aforementioned witch. Prints are for sale through an easy PayPal button. Gifford passed away in 1997 but his family maintains this site to continue honoring the work. Gifford's son carries on his father's legacy in an interesting blog illustrated with the elder Gifford's artwork. Fun, sexy and original work. --aag

When you wander a street fair or farmer's market you will find everything from fresh local apples and organic cheeses to chainsaw sculpture and homemade potpourri. So it is at Unseen, an online intentional marketplace for a wide gamut of erotica. It has been growing since the spring of 2008 and at time of review, November of 2008, it appears to still be a labor of love. Planned and no doubt eagerly awaited, is the commercial opening of the marketplace. The model is unique enough to merit it's own page on Wikipedia. They refuse advertising and plan on existing on a small portion of the artist's revenues. They have hundreds of individual galleries submitted by painters, photographers, models, digital artists, and others. They are devoted to being as inclusive of all legal sexual modes or minorities as possible, no matter the size or race or gender or whatever. Viewing is free - although part of the upcoming "monetization" is premium galleries for pay. Viewers can request their preferences - gay, bi, or straight, scupture or paintings or photography, mild or explicit. The galleries are divided into two groupings - most viewed and recommended. The recommended have been examined and found to have some unique worth by the webmasters. I'll have to take a fresh look once they shift to their planned commercial model, but I certainly have to recommend what they have so far. I was the most impressed with her charity work for breast cancer survivors, and I thought that some of her body painting for them was particularly moving. This webcomic is a whole lot of original lesbian bondage, domination, and voyeurism. The free samples give you an excellent idea of what to expect inside. There are classic characters like the bitchy dominant full of jealousy, and the young virgin pretending to have experience. Members can purchase parts of the comic, or the entire thing plus bonus animation. For some reason the flash animation had some minor issues playing on my system, but it was still hot. You can download comics as a zip file and save them to your computer, which is a neat little bonus. This museum exists in a fine wine shop in Zurich, Switzerland. Through this website you can access the current and past exhibits by gazing around the store using Flash Player. I found that this method of navigation was interesting, but often a bit problematic. I'd want to look at a particular piece, and not really know how to get to a better description of it. In addition to the virtual exhibition, you can search for a particular artist and learn where to purchase their work. I found things a bit confusing, and that might be due to the navigation system and the language barrier that I occasionally encountered. I'm in love! As far as I'm concerned, this should be the next viral link that everyone sends to their friends. It is exactly what it claims to be, a blog in which the artist draws naked women onto post-it notes with a pen. That could be simply a gimmick on some sites, but this guy is actually really talented! I especially love the extremely stylized images with heavy dark lines. The writing is often a bit dark, isolated, and lonely. There is a real honesty of feeling here. That aching is poignant when read along with such erotic and beautiful images being created out of the mundane. Scott Koznar (aka "Weenie") likes his girls with a deadly and dark edginess to them. Thus it is no surprise that he came up with the Gargirls: man-eating fairy/elf-like girls who prowl in the nude (or near-nude). The images he creates with his 3D software are gorgeous and very realistic (as realistic as you can get with fantasy creatures anyway) - and for sale. Well, I'll tell ya - your attention gets really split when you have an artist who is every bit as stunning as the art she creates. That's truly the case with Gina King - both a beauty herself and an accomplished erotic artist. Her work is primarily in the acrylic medium, and she states that she does no digital work. Images include such famous models as porn star Taylor Wane, burlesque icon Dita von Teese, and others. It has appeared in Marquis, Hustler, Club International, and many other magazines with pinup, tattoo and fetish themes. I saw a very nice piece she had here in the Seattle Erotic Arts Festival a few years ago and she has been in many other exhibitions as well. She enjoys themes such as fantasy, pin-up, fetish/latex and suchlike. She offers original work for sale, along with limited edition prints, and also is quite willing to negotiate special commissioned work. Cypher is a painter and writer from Dublin. Now in his late 30's, I think it would be fair to say that he has had an extremely troubled life, and I have no doubts he would agree. There were two essays on his site, each around 20,000 words long, detailing the course of his troubles from birth to the current day. Do you want to read every word? I don't know - it's often quite dark - but if you read the bulk of what he has written you'll have a better sense of the artist than on many other less introspective sites. In his request for a review here he described himself as "...a 37 Year old Expressionist and Realist painter and writer. My work deals with issues of sexuality, erotica, identity, transgression, madness, voyeurism and philosophy." The work I reviewed indeed covered all of those issues and more. He paints in both Expressionist and Realist styles, and has an immense body of work available to review in his galleries here. Artist Irvín Bômb poses lovely ladies in his studio and then paints their images. For a small price--just $9.95 a month--you can take a peek into his posing sessions and see all of his work. All images are available for download in either 1200 or 2000 pixel sizes. You can also purchase prints of any work on the site. Fantasy themes and girl-girl action dominate Bômb's salacious work, although he also shows a nice selection of historical portraiture and landscapes. Twenty-plus videos grace the site, all apparently shot as Bômb works with his models. He chats with the women about their personal lives and interests, which satisfied my voyeuristic nature quite thoroughly. An fun site for those interested in the creation of nude artwork. - AAG

SN Jacobson is a San Francisco based photographer who uses the tag line "anything but weddings and Bar mitzvahs". He likes to photograph people that have a unique self image and create an photo that portrays how this person moves through life. He has a lot of really unique images available to view on his site, including some amazing nudes. I particularly enjoyed his cross series, which made me wonder about the connection between the models self images and the photos. In addition to erotic photography he also has posted various other subject matter, including some digitally modified photos and some architectural photos. Tony Ward is an internationally known erotic photographer that has had his work exhibited and published around the world. His site presents many different examples of his mainstream fashion photography, as well as his more erotic work. The free area of his site has a number of free galleries which include some celebrity photography as well as some nude and erotic photography. His members ares is where he keeps his most intensely erotic material. He also presents some videos taken during his photo shoots as well. While I am sure his work is interesting when you see it full size, the image size and quality on his site leaves a lot to be desired. I can only express an opinion based on what I see, and what I see are poor quality and grainy images tiny, dark, and grainy videos. A number of images on the site have been photographed from magazines so you're not getting his original art in many cases. The site needs a redesign and larger, high quality images, to truly appreciate his work. - Wolfe

Ohhhh PinkMilk.net is a pretty little photoblog. Here's the scoop: Each day, the site is updated with a set of three images that form a theme. What sorts of themes, you wonder? Well, a recent set showed vagina dentata images. Another set had girls with milk. Another, young ladies with very large hair. Many of the images were apparently found on Flickr by the webmaster. They're given credit appropriately; the only downfall of using Flickr images in this way is that a hole is left when the original Flickr image goes AWOL. PinkMilk.net is heavy on affiliate links to paid photo sites, but all of these are below the fold, leaving the main part of the page clean and visually stunning. There's no way to get through the archives other than to page day by day, but the images are so hypnotic that you'll be tempted to page for an hour straight. Xland features the photography and digital art of photographer, stuartXland. His goal is to create photography that allows the subjects to be completely anonymous in the exploration of their own sexuality. His work is derived from photographs which he then retouches and modifies digitally to create a unique image. His images were interesting but they were all quite small on the screen. I would have liked to be able to see larger photos. In addition to his photos he also has a section where he writes and gives his thoughts on a variety of subjects. PlayfulBent.com is a site with an interesting premise: Friendly adults can create free profiles, then "flirt" with other like-minded adults. Members can create their own blogs, large image galleries, and chat groups. The site accepts members from around the world, but at the moment there seem to be a heavy concentration of users from the Australia/New Zealand areas. One cool feature of the site is that as you interact more with another user, you'll earn a higher score with that person, so that the two of you will be able to take advantage of even more functions of the site. The site also allows members to submit dares to other members; the dares range from things like very mild private nudity to wild and crazy public high jinks.
