Do you remember the "dirty" or "taboo" books that used to be advertised in the back of so-called men's magazines back in the 70's? The novels you'll find on this site remind me of those! Then again, they just might BE those books for all that I know. There are tons of Greenleaf Classics, Adonis Boyz, Triumph Books, and more here. Most of them have themes of incest, gay sex, or bondage. Many of them decide to do away with formality and go for all of the above. They are written in pulp novel style and have titles like, "Chained Daughter". While many of these look like museum relics, they are being offered up in MSReader format on this site. This is the home website for Rayne Forrest, an author of romantic fiction. This site is free, as is the weblog of Ms. Forrest which is linked to here. Her fiction is actually in three different groupings - contemporary, futuristic, and paranormal, but all in the basic romantic genre. You'll find lots of sample pages and reviews and descriptions here, and may purchase her ebook downloads via the loose-id.net network as well as the work of other associated and similar authors. One minor nuisance on the site is a bit of overlapping text, but that can be ignored. I like to encourage the growing field of ebook publishing - it cuts out so much of the corporate overhead and makes for a much closer link between the author and the reader. - Peter

Lee Amato founded something called the Sex Masters Group in 1993. They research and publish books on sexual technique and have generally been a mail order operation. Now they have a bunch of ebooks online for download (each book costs a certain amount and is purchased through paypal). The books have titles like "Male Multiple Orgasm", "Natural Penis Enlargement", and "The Hidden Truth about Aphrodisiacs." I haven't read any of these books, so I can't comment on the contents. There are free excerpts available, and the ebooks are in PDF, Word, and HTML formats. I do not see any info on the length of these books, and I'd get an answer to that before purchase. This site has a collection of downloadable ebooks offered in quite a few formats. They give a description of each one, and offer a short excerpt of the content. The books range from fairly straight forward erotica/porn to extremely hardcore BDSM. There is also a small selection of illustrated works. This is the blog of Alessia Brio, a published ebook author and poet that puts out work through her publisher Phaze. Her first book is titled "fine flickering hungers" and she links to where you can purchase it. The description given through the publisher is that her book describes sexual scenerios that , "Vary from hetero- to mono- to homosexual to group, with the only common thread being that they seldom (if ever) take place in a bed." One of my favorite things about the internet is that it allows for so many independent artists to present their work to the world, and I have a real soft spot for authors. Brenda Williamson has put together quite a collection of romance ebooks. They cover a broad range of genres from paranormal to historic romance. In addition to this, her site is an absolute goldmine for any aspiring writer. She has a yahoo group for writers and readers called "Romance Party", a guide of writer resources, and even a list of online authors. She even links to places that she has read to research stories. Ocean's Mist is primarily an ebook publishing company, but they do offer some of their selections in an actual print version should you so desire. The focus is on erotic romance, heavy on the romance. They have lots of subcategories: Western, paranormal, Sci-fi and more. They also have a line called The Azure Line, which has a focus on various ethnicities in the characters. Every listing has a book cover showing, along with a good sized excerpt, author bio, and codes for book length and content rating. You have to read their info pages to know what those mean. For example: book length: "wave". Apparently that is a short story, less than novella. Likewise, a "tsnunami" rating for content is the highest. Books are offered in Microsoft's LIT format, PDF or HTML. Prices were $2.99 for a "wave" length, $3.99 for a novella, $5.50 for a full novel length. I really love the idea of this site! It sells original ageplay erotic fiction that features submissive female characters often getting spankings from strong paternal figures (and the occasional Governess). They supply sample chapters, and you can sort stories by author. The site is very strict about making sure to have stories that clearly state that the participants are adults. Some of the stories are historical, but many are modern as well. They run the spectrum from romantic to severe spanking. My only issue with the site is that there isn't a wordcount for each piece offered, so it isn't clear how long the stories are going to be. Contact info is also email only, which can be a bit scary when using your credit card. This is definitely one of the better e-book websites I've come across. Aphrodite Unlaced is a woman-owned e-book publishing company, focusing on erotic romance stories. They have 4 main categories: contemporary, historical, fetish and paranormal. Within those categories, you can browse by short stories, full length novels, quickies and anthologies. Each has cover art and a blurb about the book, and a link to read an excerpt. They have icons to show you quickly things like "graphic sex" or "significant storyline" as well. Ordering is online, these are e-books (so PDF files) and the prices range from $1.99 to $4.99. Everything on this site is done with an eye for detail, it's a pleasure to browse through. I like the idea of this site. I've long felt that erotica authors have gotten a poor deal on the internet, with their work stolen, or underpaid. The idea here is that authors can offer their original novels or short stories for sale in ebook format via PayPal. Unfortunately they do have a lot of competition in free material all over the web that is as good or better caliber of writing. There are only 2 things available for purchase so far, a novel length (around 1200 pages) ebook called Cinderalla's Diary ($12.95) and a collection of a few short stories, 'Squeem', available for $3.95. Han Li offers sample chapters of two erotic novels which are offered for sale/download via Renaissance Ebooks. Also available here are a selection of free erotic short stories, as well as an ongoing series in "Erotica 101". This site offers well over 60 erotic ebook titles divided into around 8 subsections of special interest including really original offerings like "romantic comedy" and "science fiction". The titles are rated for content to give the reader a fairly good idea of how explicit the text will be and a sample of the manuscript is available online. The titles are available in Palm/Visor (prc), Pocket PC (lit), Adobe Acrobat (pdf), Rocket eBook (rb), Rich Text Format (rtf), and HTML formats. There are multiple payment options including Multicards, Paypal, or snail mail and the shopping cart system through Dansie Shopping Cart is supposed to be secure but my security icon never went on when I checked it. Perhaps with this system it isn't activated until the info is sent, but be advised. The titles seem to be around a minimum of 30,000 words long, and they are clear on the exact number of words before purchase. Their privacy statement and order information is fairly clear. Snail mail and email contacts are easy to find. The navigation is a bit awkward with the large fonts and long pages, but it has a lot of interesting information. One of the more cool features is that some of the books list the author's email address and website so that the reader can learn more about the person behind the book. I'm giving this site an "original" because regardless of the fact that the owner of the site doesn't generate all the texts, many of these texts would not be found elsewhere.
