Fine Art Prints

The first word that popped into my head when I saw these photos was "lurid". The artist uses very bright colors and his images have an almost retro or unreal quality. His lighting is often harsh, creating an urban or sort of burnt out feel. I found quite a few of his pictures to be totally hypnotic. He offers up faces, bodies, b&w, bts, action, world, video, art, and fashion pieces. His work is closer to softcore/hardcore than we usually see out of fine artists or glamour photographers. He says that prints and CDs are available if you contact him, but he only gives an email address and no details about the products. There is a link to his calendar, which is being sold through another site. I found his work refreshing and truly unusual amongst the fine art set. I'd love to give it a "Quality" rating, but there just isn't enough info here about the products. - Vamp

Tasteful - that's the first word to come to mind after finding this site. Paul Banner is a fine art photographer with a well tuned sense of taste. His galleries are categorized by theme or color or topic [i.e., 'red', 'water', etc.]. None of the galleries are large, but all are well done. All of his photography is available as a signed quality print on 30x40 or glossy photographic paper, and can be ordered via PayPal or email. Well done. - Peter » More Info!

There are times when I feel wholly incapable of putting across the impact a site has had upon me, and this is one of them. Will Santillo is an incredibly gifted and accomplished photographer who has worked with some huge clients like Playboy, Zales, Lubriderm, and Wrangler. As soon as I saw his work, I realized how many times I've seen it before in books, TV spots, magazines, and on the web. He has a very distinct, almost retro (or perhaps more accurately "classic") appeal. He works in both color and black and white, and excels at both. The colors always seem particularly vivid and luscious when he manages them. The black and white somehow exposes form and texture in such a way that you are overwhelmed by the sensual experience of it all. His regular portfolio is impressive, but if you look further into his site and go into the "risque" area you will be greatly rewarded. The section titled "Rapture" explores the passion between people. You'll find images of many different types of couples (and groups) lost in the moment. The images are graphic and hardcore, but somehow avoid any sense of luridness. They resonate with an intimate and quiet energy that is rarely captured on film, and usually can only be felt in the bed of a lover. In "La Petit Mort" he takes images of women in moments of self pleasure, sometimes these images seem to move with the energy of what he is trying to capture. In the last gallery "Threshold" he explores some dominant and submissive imagery with a nice side order of fetish. In addition to his galleries, you'll find a full description of his photo workshops and learn how to contact him about booking a shoot (either commercial or private). He also has fine art prints, posters, and a book for sale. I was thoroughly impressed. At first I thought this was going to be another standard fetish gear site with the same stuff I see everywhere, and boy was I wrong! The people at Fetish Flair offer a lot of that stuff I was expecting, but they also offer many hard to find and custom pieces. Some of my favorites were The Humbler CBT device, Custom tooled leather collar, Rose Punch Crop, Leather Roses, and unusual END leather masks that look almost skull like. There is also a wide variety of canes, collars, numbered art prints, costumes, jewelry, and more! They have sizes up to 6X, so everyone can find something they can wear here. The contact and customer service info is easy to find. The size charts are available (and helpful advice about them is given). They list events they will be at, and have a really nice links section that many educational sites would envy. To top it off, they are offering dungeon design services and collaring ceremony planning and space rental! They apparently have a dungeon in St. Louis, and they state that "We are happy to coordinate every detail for you from the flowers to the custom collar. We offer an experienced Mistress or Master of Ceremonies to provide the ceremony formalities." Wow, is that a sign of the times or what? - Vamp

I have to tell you how I found this guy...I was cruising the web using the keywords "alien sex". (Don't laugh, I know you do this sort of thing, just like I do!) Amongst the dross that I found, I saw this really stunning and artistic image of an alien (that I later came to understand is named TA) and a beautiful young woman. This led me to the photography site of Terry Donovan, who I then wrote to and asked if I could do a review for. I almost never do that. We are backlogged like you wouldn't believe at Jane's Guide, but this man's work is so unique and endearing that I had to call attention to it. He has become my new favorite photographer! As I mentioned, he has some very unique images of an alien doll and nude models. This sounds ridiculous at first, and maybe it is, but when you see what he's done with it you may find yourself very strangely moved. I know that I was. That said, I was even more titillated and intrigued by his images of action figures, a ventriloquist dummy (named Sid), and a whole bunch of other unusual cast members and toys that he employs to turn the tables on people and play with humans the way we usually play with dolls (at least if we are perverts). I was also drawn to a gallery of work in which he shows a fine art nude picture that he's taken, and a similar nude image of himself in the same pose. I love this "turning the tables" theme that he has going on. He subjects himself to the same vulnerability his subjects experience, and seeing the two images together creates this wonderful feeling of completeness somehow. I could go on and on about this quirky fellow, but I think it is best if you go discover him yourself. There may be finer technicians out there, but this guy has the corner market on creativity. I'll admit it. I'm an absolute freak for science fiction/fantasy art! So, it was a lot of fun for me to get to cruise this site full of mermaids, fairies, and other types of fantasy women. The colors are bright and striking, and the images are unique digitally enhanced photographs of sculptures by the artist Lorlei. The selection of Giclée prints is well organized and prices are easy to find. You can follow a link to Lorlei's site to see the sculptures the digital art is based on. A neat find, especially for folks that enjoy mermaids. Lots of fantasy nudes with long flowing hair and vivid backgrounds. - Vamp

Fréderic Levar is a fine art nude and fetish photographer who manages to capture a real sense of intimacy with his lens. I don't know whether this is due to his model being his lover and his muse, but when you look at his work you feel like you are actually transported into a very private moment that you are privileged to share with him. There are around 5 galleries worth of work on display, and there is a rather elaborate display method that allows you to zoom into the image. This site showcases the incredible artwork of Anthony Christian and Marian “Fanny� Christian. There is some amazing artwork available for sale. In many cases you can purchase the original artwork or a print of the original. There are nude prints throughout the various categories but there is a section dedicated solely to prints of an erotic nature. If you like quality artwork I would recommend browsing the entire site. The artists are wonderfully talented and use a variety of mediums and subjects that showcase their ability. In the erotic prints section there are galleries of work done by two of Anthony Christian’s students; Honey and Julia. French born and now New Zealand based artist Olivier Duhamel offers here a very nice selection of his work. He works in black and white - pencil sketches on paper - and from pregnant women to scenery, he does it well. He has quite a few galleries on different subjects, and does include a link to a gallery offering his work for sale. He offers to work on individual commissions as well. One of my favorite things about my job is when I see images that take my breath away and leave me thinking, "My GOODNESS...women are AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!" There are many skin-deep beautiful women out there that just can't take a bad photo, but when someone captures a woman's essence well enough on film that my heart literally aches from the image of that person's soul and existence that has somehow been captured...now that is something. Doug Wade managed to make that happen many times as I looked through his online portfolio. He is a master of light and shadow, and uses it to sculpt dramatic images using light and unique postures. Some of my favorite images were silhouettes. Simple, clean, and utterly stunning. While many shots are black and white, this artist really knows how to use color as well. A Red headed model seems almost a living piece of the scenery when shot against rust covered rocks in the bright sunlight, a bald model lounges within a concrete structure as bare as the cement that holds her, and (my personal favorite) a ladybug wanders over the delicate fingers of a woman whose naked bosom creates a fuzzy dreamlike background in the distance. Many of the models seem more muscular than I usually see, as if they have a gymnastic or dance backgrounds. There are goddess shaped women as well, however. The artist is, in fact, looking to expand his portfolio and shoot women of many different types. If you have an interest and can visit him in the San Leandro area, he may just be the right person to expand your own collection of shots. As well as doing fine art work, he also does portraits-for-hire (and he links to his separate site for that purpose). He sells prints and has a blog as well. The only thing that I felt was lacking was a good bio. I was so impressed that I just really wanted to know more about him! I liked the layout and design of this site, which uses blogging software to power it. You can browse through the various work of this photographer chronologically that way, or use it to keep up to date with the most current work, as the blog is the default page when you enter. Look to the lefthand menu though, to find specific works. "Favorites" showcases some of his own selections from his years as semi-professional photographer. Body image and writings on the body are frequent themes, as are figure studies and motion. I particularly enjoyed his dance series. The third book from independent sexuality/erotica publisher UnConventional Books is a book about threesomes. This website has some information about the 3 different books, as well as ordering info and excerpts from this particular book. It's a limited edition of only 1,000 copies, less than half of the run still available. The photography samples shown are gorgeous, if high stylized, 3somes. The stories contributed seem to run the gamut, from playful spontenaity to attempt to quell lonliness, from upfront encounters to infidelity. The book includes 14 true story encounters, and 156 b&w photographs (models, not the story contributors). There are submission guidelines for writers and photographers for continuing and updated series. The book is $34.95 for a single copy, with quantity discounts.

This site is a showcase of sepia-toned photographs that are offered for sale by the artist. Currently on display are 12 of the unique photographs which have a distinct vintage feel to them. In fact the artist cites American photographer Alfred Cheney Johnston as being an inspirational influence in the creation of these photographs. The artist indicates that there are more photographs available than those shown on the website. There doesn’t seem to be a method of viewing them online though. However, it appears that you will get a photo CD that contains low resolution versions of other images when you order a 14x11 print. The prints are primarily 14x11 inches with some being 14x12 inches. Both sizes will set you back £100 plus appropriate postage and handling. If you are not terribly keen on spending that kind of money on something you’ve only seen online, you may order a 7x5 inch sample print for £20. This amount will be deducted from the order of a 14x11 inch print of the same image. To order any of the prints and choose an applicable method of payment you must send an email to the artist. It seems a bit inconvenient to me, however, the prints are definitely worthy of consideration. - Koi

It is always a pleasure to review a fine art nude site, especially when the photographer has obviously cast aside the safety of convention and has flung him or herself unabashedly into the passion of the artform. Jeffrey McAlister has obviously done this, fully embracing his lust and following it where it leads. The images here are black and white, and run the spectrum from traditional facial portraiture to graphic close ups of women fingering their genitals. No subject is beyond him as he mixes religious imagery with sexuality in a sometimes shocking "Good Friday" section. I personally found those images very compelling. Although prices are not given on the work, there is contact info available if you are interested in purchasing something or getting some custom work done. If Picasso were a contemporary erotic artist, his work might look like that of Georgie Tier. This illustrator of the naughty and nice has an excellent sense of linear design and how positive and negative shapes interact in the creation of a composition. The pieces often show folks engaging in intercourse, masturbation, and fetish play... but they all are imbued with a sense of humor and joy that make even the darkest subjects somehow unintimidating! I love the electric sense of pleasure that practically radiates off these images in waves. The artist sells clothes, tea towels, prints, mugs, and original works on canvas. The only problem? This site features damsels in tight corsets, chastity belts, and various forms of bondage. A favorite subject is the ponygirl, but there are some other very interesting "animals" such as bondage mermaids and rabbits. I believe the artist uses watercolors, pencil, and pen and ink for most of these (although I could be mistaken). CorsetPerv can do commissions, and he gives instructions for how to set that up. If you are looking for interesting (and very modern) erotic art for your home, club, or bar...then you should check out Matthew Tilmouth-Cook. His pieces are very bold in both color and line, and remind me quite a bit of screen printing due to the large color fields and crisp lines. These images have a strongly graphic feel, so you won't see photo realism here or normal skin tones. Instead you'll see female forms in erotic poses rendered in bright colors with hints of unique detailing like silver powder, embossed paper, or metallic leaf. Based in London, Matthew offers a lot of info about the images and good contact information about how to reach him. Payment can be made through paypal, which I know I always appreciate.
