I'm going to put my biases out on the table right away. I've been a long time fan of this site, and I've visited it ever since it was a newborn babe back in 1996. So, you'll get nothing but love for it from me. I think you'll quickly see why I feel so positive about it though, even if this is the very first time you'll visit. This site is an internet classic that is for serious readers and writers of erotica. The author's resource section is a gold mine of information that includes everything from practical advice about how to write a sex scene to a list of places currently accepting submissions for work. The place doesn't discriminate, so you're welcome as a writer of mainstream romance or of hardcore kinky smut. Aside from being an author's resource, it really is a one stop shopping center for readers as well. You can find lots of intelligent interviews, commentary, and reviews pertaining to adult sexuality and pornography. No matter whether you're looking up info on how to pick the right sex toy or are curious about how to go about trying to female ejaculate, chances are they have something for you. This is a thoroughly charming and very real romantic site that explores the relationship of a D/s couple. What I really like about it is that it isn't preachy, and it wasn't set up to be an information site. It basically came about because the submissive was learning HTML and it seemed like putting her poetry together in the new format she was learning just made a lot of sense. After she was done, her Master encouraged her to put it up on the web. The result? A page full of erotic D/s themed stories, dragon fantasy world erotica, pony tales, and more. The site is very poem heavy, including the (very good and very honest) section called "Our Story". I really recommend this part of the site to people, because it takes on some of the very raw emotions that are often a part of life and little spoken about. They tell the story of meeting in their forties, each of them in unhappy marriages with multiple issues. They talk about the internal moral struggle that they had about the relationship that bloomed between them, and how awful it felt to know how it would impact each of their families. They discuss step parenting, nasty divorces, and six years of learning to grow together as a couple. The section is short, but very poignant. It is often told in the third person, which is rather unusual, but interesting. I find myself wanting to quote all sorts of things from the site, but it is probably better if you go take a look yourself. In addition to what I've mentioned you'll also find some free D/s themed cards (for printing out) and essays about such topics as switching, ponyplay, mummification, canes, wax play, and bondage. There is also a very funny humorous poetry section that made me giggle. This is an author's site for the work of Mychael Black, Kay Derwydd, and Shayne Carmichael. These people might be the same person, as it is a bit hard to tell from the various bios who is who (or even a gender of any of them). Ultimately though, names and genders don't matter. What does matter is that there is a whole boatload of excerpts from paranormal gay romance novels here. Normal participants in these stories include vampires, werewolves, and angels. There are links to ebooks being sold through various publishers, and a long list of material that is currently being worked on or pitched. If you click around, you'll find some free ebooks, book trailers (short movies about the books), an active forum, and even a section for Vampire the Masquerade fans. This is a really unique site! There are four illustrated novels and a large collection of illustrated short stories here. Almost all of the stories involve nudity and bare-bottom spanking. There are galleries of poser art, corel draw art, and even some erotic SIMS skins. The site owner also loves attending Burning Man and has photographs from "Camp Spank". The links section is very worthwhile, especially if you enjoy spanking sites. It is a great little free site with really imaginative content. Really neat! - Vamp

This story blog is about Elysium Island, which is a fictional country in which women are enslaved for domestic and sexual use. It is Gorean in flavor, but it is not a "Gor" story. The emphasis appears to be on the narrative, and there is actually very little blatant sex about the first four chapters and "visitor information" section that I read. While it isn't a RPG (role play game), it does allow for contributers to the storyline. It looks like three people are currently contributing. I don't see anything fresh since July, so you may have to check to see if they are still working on the project. The work so far is well done, however. Thomas S. Roche has been writing professionally since he was around seventeen. He is currently the Managing Editor over at Eros Zine, and has worked for some really great folks in the past (like Good Vibrations). He has written quite a few erotic books (in addition to writing so many published short stories, nonfiction articles, and reviews that he has lost track of how many are out there). This website lists some of the books that he is responsible for. If you click on a book, it brings you to a shop (like Amazon) where it can be purchased. You can get signed editions of some of his work through the author himself. If you want to look at some of his current short story work, you can check out his blog (which he links to on this site). There is usually a teaser and a link to where the rest of the story can be read. There are a bunch of reviews and other neat goodies in his blog as well. If you want to know more about the man himself (and his interests), then you can check out his livejournal link. There is a photo gallery on the site, but much to the disappointment of fans everywhere, he keeps his clothes on in every picture. This is a free story/article post site. You can easily submit any story you've written for publication with their online form. Articles are reviewed by staff before they are posted, so you don't find the site littered with garbage. The stories are searchable, and are broken down by category. You'll find everything from cybersex to gay male erotica. So, there is a little bit for everyone. A poetry section and advice column (of sorts) round out the offerings. I love it when a journal makes me feel a full spectrum of emotions, and this one sure did. There were moments when I was reading about Tess trying out a new sex toy or reading her erotica (such as the series Isabella's Eyes) in which I was excited, and other bits of her journal that reached into my feelings as a mother and as a human being looking for love. Tess describes herself as a suburban housewife in a marriage with a lot of problems. She is kinky, bi, and trying to sort out how in the heck to have a more satisfying life. I loved her writing. It was honest, and she never pulled any punches when things went "wrong". One sample of this, "But in this situation, I looked at this man walking away from the bed and I envisioned who I would have liked it to be and it damn near broke my heart all over again. My emotions were close to the surface to begin with; making myself vulnerable by putting myself into a D/s scene, mild as it was, just made them burst forth. Ann is a contributing editor to Clean Sheets, and a darn good writer! Her personal site links to many of her articles (which are often based on her real life experiences), poems, blog, and erotic fiction. There are also links to several ebooks that she has written, and Amazon links to various anthologies that she has contributed to. Her work falls squarely into the category that I privately think of as "literary smut". It generally has quite a bit of character development and an emphasis on dialogue and story. This is the free personal site of an artist with a real love for illustrating submissive young women in situations with significantly older (and often quite severe) women. Although some older men are shown as dominant characters, the center stage is taken up by angry looking grandmother types and nuns. There is often some sort of familial tie that is either suggested or stated. The galleries are without a storyline, but the artist is planning on adding commentary/story soon. This webzine is a real pleasure to call to your attention. It is a female focused sex positive site that features original erotica categorized as Vanilla (straight up old fashioned sex), Licorice Whips (BDSM), Dirty Martini (voyeurism, fetish, and group), and All About Oysters (lesbian sex). I didn't read everything, but it seems like the general tone is going to appeal most to the sophisticated reader of literary smut. In addition to the sexy tales you'll find here, there are two advice columns. One is called "Ask Jordon" and is written from the female perspective. One is called "The Book of Joe" and answers questions from a man's point of view. There is also a neat section that prints honest product and book reviews. It is always great to find another real review site in a sea of frauds! There is a cute "Sexoscope" section that provides your sexual horoscope, erotic poetry, and even some original artwork. I first read some of Vanna Vechian's Erotic stories back in 2002, and I liked them a lot back then and gave them a "Vamp's Pick" designation. Four years later, there are only more good things to say. The small collection of written work has exploded into a multitude of free stories, and the publication of some of her best work. Vanna loves to explore relationships in her pieces, whether those relationships are between a man and a woman or simply a woman's relationship with her own body. The emphasis is on eroticism and the the human condition rather than straight up pornography, and many of the stories are at least somewhat autobiographical in nature. If you are a Story of O fan, then you'll enjoy her contribution to that saga. Most of the time she writes from a female perspective, and there are quite a few BDSM inspired tales here. She points to other sites that contain her writing, as well as to her new ebook titled "Menagerie and other erotic stories." This is an entirely charming and erotic monthly sci-fi sex comic strip about Lucy Lastique. Artist Jaxtraw manages to create images that are cute, hilarious, and often absolutely pornographic. There are artist notes, a message board, and some extra art on the site to boot! It is an obvious labor of love, and you can opt for a "basic" subscription that gives you limited access for a song or a "full" subscription (which is the price I mention below). Pam Rosenthal writes extremely well received erotic historical romance novels. On this site you can read excerpts of them, and find out where and how to order them. In addition to her more mainstream novels, she has written a couple under the pen name Molly Weatherfield that threaten to become modern classics in the BDSM genre. She writes "almost a blog" that manages to give you a bit of a look into her world, and there is a complete bio here that allows you to get a good idea of who the woman behind the stories is. I can't begin to tell you how much content there is here. I must admit that I got lost in it all, which really isn't hard to do when the "HentaiKey" gets you into more than 800 separate sites filled with all kinds of erotica. The original stuff that you will find here adds up to around 744 comics, 3,312 images, and 7 flash games/movies. You'll get another 2057 licensed comics, 31,359 licensed pictures, 212 licensed stories, and 86 licensed videos. This is all BEFORE you explore content elsewhere. You'll find everything from artist sites to games. What you won't find is the really hardcore stuff in this genre (like murder/cannibalism and such). Most of this sticks to the pretty straight forward sex model with the occasional tentacle or cartoon animal romp thrown in for fun. Some of these are right out of Japan, so the genitals are obscured and the stories are told in Japanese without English subtitles. Be careful of the main page, as there is sound on it.
