Freelance writer Adrie Santos of AdrieSantos.com can be hired to produce copy, SEO content, and erotica for your website. She'll also write you a personalized erotic tale for your partner as a holiday, birthday or Valentine's Day gift. Maybe she's so busy working for others to concentrate on her own site, because it is frankly a bit of a mess. Links to examples of her work are hard to find and her blog is very infrequently undated. There's no information about her rates though she does include an email address to which you can write for more information. Santos maintains an extensive list in her sidebar of all the places her writing has been published, but I'm baffled by the fact that the tiny screenshots and book images are not linked to anything. Perhaps there's a very good reason for this, but I can't fathom why Santos doesn't encourage her readers to click away and purchase (or read online) the pieces she's written. Finally, the site's top entry refers to all the things Santos *won't* do for hire, such as give lap dances or engage in sex-chat. Clearly she's had some bad experiences in being propositioned by clueless internet folks (who hasn't, really?) but I found it off-putting to read this as my introduction to her work. Site revenues are split between administrators and authors; earn a bigger chunk of the proceeds by receiving positive ratings and lots of page views. This payment method is supported by advertising, but it's of a pretty low-key nature. Banner and text ads show up on most pages but you won't find annoying pop-ups, pop-unders, peel-backs or those abhorrent naked dancing girls from a dating site which shall go unnamed. Unfortunately they've not been able to add much content in the months since they submitted the site to Jane's Guide. Several stories and but a handful of blog entries seem to be the main attraction right now. There is, however, a link to more of their work on another site. Two words: Lesbian Fiction. I almost never get to review this, and it is some of my favorite stuff! This site features, "...[O]riginal, well-crafted, strongly-plotted lesbian and female-centric works of short fiction." There are only about four stories here at the moment, and they are as diverse in genre as science fiction and historical romance. I'm certain that once the word gets out, they'll have a lot more available. If you are looking for a good home for your fiction, you might want to submit something. I'm a bit sketchy about the content that they eventually want to fill the site with, but from what I read they seem to want to represent non-kinky lesbian fiction. In addition to the stories, there are book reviews and interviews with authors. I love the tone and design of the site, and I think this definitely addresses a group of folks that are really under represented in erotica. Great idea, and great execution. This is not an all adult site, however the erotic fiction is the busiest part of the site, and is worth a mention. I'm all about free fiction, and that's what is offered here for the reading. On the date of review they claim close to 1400 stories, of all genre. It's easy enough to find a button for "erotic stories" or "adult theme" in their genre listings. The stories tend to be a little milder than some of what you might find at ASSTR, because they have chosen to screen out stories about illegal sexual activities [underage, violent, etc]. After a short scan around and reading a little I went ahead and bookmarked it for my own reading. You don't have to register, and registration is free and without any credit card dance or such, but with registration you can submit stories and be notified of updates. There are quite a few sites that review romance or extremely softcore erotica, but where do you go to find out the skinny on smut? Aside from reading our fine reviews in the book review section, this site is the answer to that question! A small group of reviewers, who are also often established authors within the genre of erotica, are slowly building an archive of extremely honest and blunt reviews. You can browse their newest reviews, or look for a specific author or editor. You can also just thumb through an archive. The organization of the site is simple, and there aren't a lot of bells and whistles to distract you from the writing. I read through a couple of the pieces, and I found the tone to be very frank. I didn't see a bunch of flattery or attempts to sell anything. I did see a few zingers that made me sting, and I wasn't even the person being reviewed. You just don't get any more original than this! This obvious labor of love offers original writing, music, acting, movies, and pictures. There are over 30 wmv movies (which come out to over 9 hours of viewing) here, and each one has been scripted by the deliciously whimsical writer Cherry Chapman. In the movies section you'll be able to view descriptions of the films, and sometimes even a short trailer. Each movie is available in hi-res and low-res, with the hi-res being full 1080 HD. All of the movies feature very young petite women with slim figures, and quite a few of them have lesbian or solo masturbation content. There are a few movies with men in them as well, and a minority of the content involves spanking or whipping. The plots of the movies are all over the map from straight forward sensual softcore (with no dialogue) to erotic stories with lots of dialogue and some hardcore sex. There are even some films that have relatively edgy storylines with arty imagery, such as the movie "Drugged" which involves girls drugging and taking advantage of each other. The hallucinations of the drugged girls are quite unusual! In addition to the scripted movies, you'll find a section devoted to the art of strip tease. There are over thirty women that slowly tease the viewer and disrobe, and most of them appear in the scripted movies as well. If you visit the "editing room" you'll get to experience even more content including the scripts (in doc file form), around six galleries of behind the scenes photos, a jukebox full of the original music, and links to the stars of the films. There is also a forum and a picture section that includes over 40 galleries of high res images. One of the things I noticed about the movies here is that they were a lot of fun. It looked like the girls were having a good time, and that really makes a difference to me. While I think that this site isn't exactly what folks are looking for if they have a large appetite for explicit hardcore, I think it will be the perfect fit for those that like sensual teases that inspire the imagination. I found it difficult sometimes to sort out what linked to another story, and what linked to another site. That always makes me a bit cranky! D.J. Manly specializes in gay male erotic fiction. This site lists his many books in terms of category (paranormal, contemporary, futuristic/fantasy, or anthology). He provides excerpts of many of the books, and often posts a small review by one of his readers. He doesn't sell any of the books himself, but he does point to the various publishers that carry them. I found his "Amusing Amanda" series of particular interest, as it is written about a woman who likes to watch men make love.
