This site involves going on a bit of a mental journey to Renaissance Venice. After you enter, you will have a chance to register (for free) for many sections. This is somewhat inconvenient, as they have separate registration procedures. Once registered, you can access all of the delicious stories inside that have been reviewed by other users. You'll find romance, gay/lesbian, BDSM, poetry, fanfic, vampire stories, and other alternative erotica. There is also a chat section, and a lot more. I couldn't access the gallery for some reason, so I'm unsure of what is in that area. There is a neat social networking section that is also free, and it seems like they have the start of a really helpful writer's workshop/community over there. Ann Jacobs is an award winning author of erotic romance novels that cover contemporary, BDSM, futuristic, paranormal, historical, and comedy genres. She believes that an erotic romance is, "...[T]he perfect combination of sex, sensuality, deep emotional involvement and lifelong commitment." This website lists all of her novels and gives a brief description and excerpt from each of them. There are also a couple of free stories and links to her blog and yahoo group. I always love reading about authors, and she has a nice bio section and a lot of pictures. It seems that she really enjoys her fans, so there are lots of fun things like contests and free bookmarks. I noticed that she has a lot of futuristic science fiction BDSM stories, cowboys, harems, and medieval content. So, if any of those trip your trigger, you should definitely take a look here. Are you a fan of romantic or erotic books and ebooks? Then you will love this site! The navigation can be a bit easy to get lost in, but the content is well worth it. There are lots of honest reviews of the literature, and all of them (that I read) had a very conversational and friendly tone to them. It was exactly like sitting down with a cup of coffee and talking this stuff over with a friend. They review all sorts of books, but the main focus is definitely erotica/romance. Aside from the reviews, they offer quite a bit more. There are organized live chats for fans, contests, interviews, an active forum, a bunch of free material to read, and a lot more. I was especially impressed with the Reader's Community Page which helped promote conversation and friendship amongst fans. It is a great page for aspiring writers, since it lists publishing sites and offers help and services to authors. There is a bookstore on the site. Some of the genres covered include fantasy, historical, GLBT, inspirational, thriller, and erotica. They are offered at reasonable prices for immediate download in html, .lit, and .pdf formats. All in all, this seems like a real labor of love produced by fans and independent writers within the genre. I was very impressed, especially with the sense of community. Joybear is a UK porn movie company that offers downloadable and streaming movie clips (from their own DVDs as well as from some retro erotic films). You can read the synopsis of clips, view a trailer, look at slideshows, and read two pieces of erotic fiction for free. Each clip description explains what actresses will be shown, the length of the clip, and whether or not anal sex is featured. If you download the scene you can watch it multiple times, but if you stream it you will only be able to see it once. There are multiple pricing levels, so be sure that you check the price of the clip before ordering it from the shopping cart. It appears that the prices range between $4-$23 depending upon how many scenes are involved, and which way the content is delivered. In addition to scenes for viewing on your computer, they offer scenes for the Ipod as well. Be careful about supplying an email address, or you'll get a monthly email until you unsubscribe. Write-to-Excite aims to service all the women out there who enjoy erotica but find themselves woefully underrepresented in the erotic fiction that they find. No longer will you have to complain about the female characters not having exactly the same hair colour and name as you - WtE has got you covered with "personalized" erotic stories. What does "personalized" mean, you ask? It's like an adult version of those stories you can buy for kids with their name and a few details included in the plot. After registering for an account with WtE, you will fill out a few forms asking for details about your appearance and preferences (my breasts are "medium" size and "perky", I want my lover's name to be ____, etc). You can then read short samples of stories and select the type of story you want: romantic, threesome, bondage, etc. Then the good people at WtE will insert your details into the story so that when you read it the story appears to be about you! I personally found this concept a tad cheesy and unnecessary, but I'm sure there are women out there who have trouble projecting themselves into stories where the heroine doesn't have their name and height; and these women will most likely enjoy this site's services. I absolutely loved my visit to this site - part blog, part erotic poetry and stories. Elizavetta Mora writes beautifully, whether it's a haunting story of a path not taken (Rioja) or a steamy pain/pleasure interlude during the most boring of household tasks (Ironing Sutra). The poems and stories are indexed along one column, then there is an ongoing blog as well. She has proven to be a prolific author over what is actually a very short time, offering several different series of novels via ebook or in paper. I saw two different paranormal werewolf series of books, a paranormal witch series, a contemporary romance series as well as a collection of stand-alone novels with a variety of themes. Sssh.com is a site produced by women and geared toward women. It is chock-full of content. Seriously. It would take days to work your way through all the content on this site. Let me sum it up for you. Sssh.com has photo galleries, movies, audio files, columns, horoscopes, sex ed material, comics, chats, personals, games, shopping...see what I mean? There's just tons of stuff here. I liked the tease of the sexy audio files, and the image galleries were well done if fairly soft-core. Some of the content, however, is really not all that great. The personals, for example, seem to be pretty dead, and some of the advice and sex ed materials are poorly edited. Her work has been published by Torquere Press, and can be ordered there, although I didn't see any purchasing links directly from her home site here. What is available here is a lot of sampling of free fiction, and exerpts from the published pieces. She is a good wordsmith, both in the lesbian erotica close to her heart and also in gay male fiction [what I saw was dominant/submissive leathermen stories] which she cowrites with a male author. The author of 50+ books and hundreds of short stories in a wide range of genre, Roche keeps busy (in his free time, perhaps?) writing ThomasRoche.com, blogging at Blowfish.com, and editing Eros-Zine.com. His writing at ThomasRoche.com is a medley of thoughts on movies, music, sexuality and culture. His tone ranges from informative to irreverent but it's always intelligent. New from the UK is this site featuring UK amateur girls. On the main site the image galleries are free. There is an option to view streaming DVD smut [looks like commercial stuff rather than their homegrown stuff] paying per view. Back to their homegrown, however, is the membership area, which is a couple of dozen 20 minute film clips available for downloading. Some of the videos are solo, some girl/girl, and some are boy/girl. In the area labeled 'Little Miss Secret' they have female-written erotic fantasies, and I'd like to strongly recommend editing in paragraphs. One humongous paragraph makes for difficult reading. Wow - this is my new favorite site! xNovel is an ever-growing archive of the golden age of pulp novels. The stuff that I hid in the coal bin or under my mattress during my formative years. This site is all free, making it a labor of love for the owner. Those dirty paperback books - from now-defunct publishing houses - from the 60's to the 80's are captured here in full. In many cases this is even including the original cover art. You can read it online or you can download in zipped text files to enjoy at your leisure. At time of review they have over 700 titles, searchable by author, by series, and so forth. They actively solicit help from folks of similar tastes to obtain, proofread, scan, and otherwise help in adding to the collection. Their links page is a great list of similarly minded sites. Molly's Mirror is a collaborative erotic poetry, prose and photography site. The namesake of the site, Molly, has a category for her journal postings, which definitely have a sensual thread. I suggest starting at the 'about molly' post, the moving down the righthand navigation to "collections", which group posts on a theme together. You'll find some to contain photos with just enough text to arouse and entice, and others to be collaborative serials. I absolutely enjoyed wandering through this site. EA has been writing for just over 2 years now, updating his blog around a half dozen times each month with smut steamy enough to tide his readers over until his next update. There is a theme of long distance love affairs that seems to come out in most of EA's stories. Far from being repetitive, this theme serves to draw in his female fans, who can easily imagine themselves as his wanton long-distance mistresses. I'm very picky about my erotica, but EA was able to seduce me with his smart and engaging writing style. Being smooth and eloquent without getting "fluffy", as well as being raw and sexual without losing his classiness, makes EA's erotica stand out in his field.
