Yesterday morning Elliott and I decided to stay home late in the morning, so we could have some nice private time while the kids were at school. Honestly, I don’t understand how parents fit in a sex life around kids, at least not the kind of rambunctious sex life WE like. I feel lucky that we’re both self-employed, so if we want to take a morning off once in awhile we can.

So anyhow, I took a nice hot shower and let my mind start switching over from real life mode to sex mode. Got out, dried off, and came out into the bedroom to none other than Tenacious D singing “Fuck Her Gently”. That set the mood – just not the one I’d had in mind. Which is ok, I can go with the flow of those things, and giggle sex is just as much fun as other kinds. :)

This of course brings to mind mood music, music for sex. I personally like portishead and Loreena McKennitt, or for mostly sultry (but still some giggles) you can’t miss with Lovage and their “Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By.” Incidentally, I have a gorgeous friend of mine, Miss Candy, to thank for the little bit of lovage in my life. I’d never have discovered that little gem of listening pleasure had she and her delightful partner not told me about it.

I was going to ask for your musical suggestions, but for the fact that my blog doesn’t have comments. Maybe I should change that, to be honest I’ve been a bit gunshy about adding them back in because of the massive spam by those damn blogspam robots. But I’m missing the interaction. hrm.
