		<description>I did look at some of the photos, but I've grown a little leery of those kind of photos with any camera. 

I think trying it is a fine idea. Sounds like the perfect place for it!

		<description>you should check out the photos at the site I linked, it's pretty amazing how good the shots are. I think it's all about the external flash (or so says everything I read about underwater photography)

I've never tried it either, but hey - no time like the immediate future, right?</description>

That's a neat looking camera. I've never done any underwater photography (not much diving here in the corn belt), but everything I've ever heard says extra light is handy, so the external flash option might be handy...
