Firstly, I wanted to mention that today marks our Consumer Tips section resurrection. It’s been ages since anything new has been written or posted there, although the original articles are still relevant, as not all that much has changed with basic consumer issues. But now I wanted to expand, and thus there is a brand-spanking-new long article by the lovely Rae on how to play the online personals game. Whether you’re looking for sex, love or kink, she has a guide to how to get better responses and get closer to finding what you’re looking for.

Now on to the rest of the blog, because you know I can never do a cohesive single-subject entry. It’s not in my writing repertoire.

We’re well on the way in our remodel - the new foundation has been poured, and actual framing is going to occur in the next week. It’s always weird in the beginning how quickly the structure goes up - the skeleton, anyhow. Pretty soon my view out my kitchen window won’t be the lights of Canada, instead it’ll be the shell of what will be my new kitchen. A good friend of mine was kind enough to offer to help me with the design, as she’s been through a kitchen remodel herself. She’ll go with me to the designer and cabinetmaker, which is a task I don’t feel like doing on my own. We’re ending up with a huge space to do some interesting things with, so I need all the creative input I can get. :)

Ooh, and added bonus on this: the construction crew. They’re all totally nice (they have fallen in love with our little orange and white kitten, who plays in the construction site while they’re working) AND they’re very easy on the eyes. Oh, and a couple of them have sexy Aussie accents too. :)
