Back from the weekend – I absolutely love how 24 hours on the boat seems like a week away. Something about the water, wind and waves. I always sleep best on the boat. I also get to relax and read, which never seems to happen at home. Home is never quiet enough with 3+ teenagers at all times, and all the pets.
My favorite author ever, Alice Hoffman, has a new book out that I’m currently in the middle of. We were coming back across the bay last night, and Elliott noticed tears rolling down my face under my sunglasses, because her stories always make me cry. She writes about loss in a way that just gets me.
Anyhow, I have piles of stuff on my desk to get done today, so I’d better get back to it.

Hi Jane
Just wanted to drop you a line to say how happy I was to see you’ve begun blogging again.
I’ve been reading your blogs since when whenever, in at least a couple of their incarnations, back to the days before it went bad with Jim and your experiences with James Mogul etc. And no matter what you had to say, and no matter how far it seemed from my own life, it was always worth reading.
I guess that’s why any time I come to the site the first stop was always JaneSays.
Any I’m really glad things are great for your family and I forward to reading more from you
