I’m going to be sailing all week, coming home each night until Friday. We’re taking doggie with us, and Elliott is staying at the site all week, but with a houseful of teenagers I just feel more comfortable not leaving them alone for an extended period of time. They are at that in-between age where they certainly don’t need a sitter, and when I ask my sister Molly to stay over, it just feels weird to everyone ’cause she doesn’t really know what she’s supposed to be doing, and they don’t really know what they should be asking permission for. heh.

I was torturing Elliott with an incredibly cute kitten that the girls found by the side of the road yesterday. We already have far too many pets, and it wasn’t even a consideration to keep it, but we’re trying to find it a home. It’s a little ball of black fluff, sooo cute. But Elliott hates cats with a burning fiery passion (it’s well earned, we have a grumpy old cat that he has a love/hate relationship with) so watching this cute little ball of fluff is indeed torture. He wants to love it, but he knows it’ll turn into a CAT.

So anyhow, my challenge to myself this week is to actually bring a camera along and take pictures for the first time in ages. It’s always beautiful on the water, and I need more photos of doggie. And Elliott. I was looking through old scrapbooks from the first couple of years of our relationship, and I am so very glad I did them. And the girls, I feel like their teenage years are flying by and I have so little time left before they’re out of the house, on to college and jobs and relationships and crappy apartments.

I am going to post pictures during the week, when I come home at night. I solemnly vow that I will have at least a couple pictures a day posted all this week. Now it’s a stated goal. Ooh, hope I didn’t jinx it. :)
