K, so I am not getting as much done this week as I wanted to. One of our dogs attempted to kill me the other day, which hurt my neck and back. Ok, I admit that was a bit dramatic. She’s a sweetheart dog, (not my little doggie, this one is my daughter’s BIG dog) and when I’m working in the kitchen she always very quietly sidles up behind me to lie down. I can’t totally fault her, we have heated floors in the kitchen so it’s a very nice place to sleep if you’re a pet.

Anyhow, this isn’t the first time. Once, I turned from the stove with a pan of hot grease, and tripped over her. Luckily, I managed not to splash either of us, and I didn’t actually fall down. This time though, I was turning from the sink with a vase full of flowers in my hand, and I stepped right on her. I fell back against the cabinets, catching my left forearm (it’s got a big, ugly bruise about 4 inches long) and then slamming into things with my neck/back all the way to hip. It’s the damn metal cabinet pulls that got me. Note: I did not hurt the dog, OR break the vase of flowers. heh.

Anyhow, had a massage yesterday which only seemed to make things worse. Did a bit of yoga this morning, which made things slightly better. But the last thing I want to do is sit at a desk. This is fine though, because the oldest turns 18 (!?!?!) tomorrow, so I have tons to get done for her celebration tomorrow evening. :)
