Most of these are toys that I personally have tried and loved – my favorites from the past few years. I also ordered a few things I’ve never tried, just because they looked cool, and of course now that I’ve seen them in person, I want them for myself. *sigh*

Now I have to order more for me, since I’m kinda excluded from winning my own contests. :)

write long overdue review of my favorite sextoy, the Eroscillator (once I’ve recovered from it’s affects, since it’s worn me out in the past 48 hours. Damn, it’s good to have my sexdrive back!)

put up more book and toy reviews. There are a couple of new book reviews up today, but AAG is faster at sending them than I am at posting them!

put together retrospective of prior ten years of JG for my upcoming JG birthday!

pick up awesomely cute JG t-shirts

bank deposits and other errands

I’m still behind. Way behind. And we’re leaving in about 4 hours for most of the weekend. I suppose I wouldn’t be so far behind if Elliott and I hadn’t chosen to spend the last two days in bed for a good deal of the morning, but hey it was for our sanity. I don’t know how non-self-employed people with children manage to have sex lives. Where on earth do you find the time and privacy? Or perhaps I’m just too loud and need to figure out how to do things a little more quietly so we could have evening sex. heh.

This weekend we’re away, driving to Eastern WA for a family graduation thing, which starts out the series of fully booked weekends for the rest of the summer. I am actually a total homebody, so I’m trying not to think too much about everything upcoming. :)

Yow, but I’ve been swamped with stuff lately. I owe a zillion emails, I’ve had to cancel some of the pilates sessions I’ve been teaching, and to top it off all of the stress caused Elliott and I to have our very first actual squabble of our 3+ year relationship.

To cope, I just finished doing some yoga and I’m off to the gym in a few minutes to burn some calories on a treadmill. The weather here has turned to slop again, so no dog walking for me.

Anyhow, I didn’t mean to post a short pissy entry, but I haven’t checked in for a few days and I thought I should. The happy news is my new Jane tshirts will be done in a week or so, the new icons for my all-new site design are beyond cute (thanks, Rae!) and it’s all coming together. Most of my stress has been on the home front, with teenagers and home remodels.

On a happy note, my kitten Sherman is kicking some butt on kittenwar.com. hee!

I don’t know how many of you might remember when I used to blog about my goofy orange and white cat named Andy, but at any rate I did – lots. And he died last year. He was the third orange/white cat of my lifetime, the first being the original Andy back when I was about 7 years old.

We have 2 dogs and 3 cats already, so I was NOT looking for more pets. Until my middle daughter told me about a friend who’s cat had kittens, and there was an orange and white one in the bunch. Well, I couldn’t resist. It DID take me almost 2 weeks to convince Elliott (I actually completely wore him down. I would feel guilty about it, but for the fact that ALL of the other pets are his.)

Anyhow. Here he is:

Is he not the cutest thing you’ve ever seen? (and I know my floor is disgusting. YOU live with this many pets and have a pet-hair free floor.)

I know, he is. I submitted him to kittenwar.com (if you’ve never been there, be prepared to waste at least a few minutes)

Max will not stop following him around. I mean everywhere. And he licks him all the time, which knocks little Sherm right over. It’s way too fucking cute, I can hardly stand it.

Um.. what else. Site design almost done, new t-shirt design too cute for words (not showing you yet, until they’re ready in a couple of weeks) and Vamp is back! I am so happy! She’s had a zillion other things going on, so her reviewing was cut back for awhile. Now she’s back for the summer I think, and I couldn’t be happier.

But really, I only posted so I could show you my new kitten. Have a wonderful holiday weekend!

I’m sure almost everyone reading this blog knows what “MILF” stands for, but just in case: “Mother I’d Love to Fuck” is what the actual acronym stands for. It originated, far as I know, via the world of online porn, with MILF being a type of porn featuring women a bit older than typical. Of course when you consider that a vast percentage of porn features 18-20 year olds, usually MILFs are represented as women in their *gasp* TWENTIES.

At any rate, somehow it caught on and as part of the pornification of our society, is now an almost universally accepted term, at least in suburbia. Everyone knows what it means, although it’s tossed around to mean “hot” by most people. What I can’t understand is how all of a sudden women are proudly wearing MILF tshirts and other accessories – it still means what it means, and when did it become socially acceptable to walk around with an “I’m a woman you’d like to fuck, aren’t I?” tshirt?

Still, it really took the cake when I saw these baby onesies. Now we’ve got infants proclaiming that you’d want to fuck their mothers. Nice.

I just don’t understand when sex positive turned into taste negative.

*sigh*

I have a MOO card obsession. I love them! First discovered when Heather gave me one of hers several months ago, now I have my very own. If you haven’t ever seen a MOO card, they are tiny little business cards that you can have your own images printed on. The paper quality is great, they’re nice and thick and sort of not-quite-matte but not glossy either.

So I was corresponding with a friend who has a similar MOO obsession and she told me about their new notecards, which led me to my next discovery: MOOpockets! An indie artist is making cute little pockets just the right size for MOO cards, in lots of different colors – I just ordered one of the clipon versions so I can clip my little MOOcard case to my purse handle. Yay! I need stickgirl MOO cards next, for JanesGuide. The above are just my personal MOOcards.

Next up for shopping is a shot of a totally cute necklace that I think is perfect for me. I found it locally at the farmer’s market…

As you can see, it’s perfect for me. (well, maybe you don’t agree with the ’saint’ part) but I love how it flips over. Imagine my surprise when I went to the artist’s website, Laughing Raven Design, and found that she does kinky designs too! You can get “spank me” earrings and pendants there, along with other cute things. Her work is that wonderful mix of pretty + industrial that I love so much.

What else… hrm. The book party last night was fun, although I was disappointed that a couple of friends I’d hoped to see didn’t make it. I did bump into Peter though (site reviewer here) and I hadn’t seen him in person in probably a year, so that was very cool. Oh, and finally got to meet a Seattle local photographer I’ve long admired, Molly Bennett.

We ended up getting home around midnight, to find that our bedroom was ice-cold. We’d left the windows open that morning. We also found the dog on our bed, 2 cats in our room and the t.v. left blaring because obviously a daughter had hijacked our room for the night. So, after closing the windows and kicking out the pets, we finally got warm enough to drift off to sleep only to be awakened by the LOUD chirp of our smoke detector letting us know it needed a new battery. Augh! Elliott got that fixed around 2am, and we dozed again – only to be awakened by the cell phone with IT’S dying battery noise. Double Augh!!

I’m exhausted today.

I finally got a chance to download photos from my camera today, and it’s been so long there were actually still Mexico pictures on there. I also found this gem:

You kinda have to click for the enlarged version to get the full effect. Elliott had a brush fire going this particular day, and our dog Max saw a mouse which he just HAD to chase right into the fire. The picture is only funny ’cause he didn’t get hurt, but here he is with warpaint stripes all over him from the charcoal. (He did get the mouse, btw.)

It’s a beautiful sunny day for once, but I haven’t been outside much. My desk is piled high with things to do, and I only have this week to do it all in. Next week I’m having a small medical thing, so I’ll be working from home on a laptop for most of the week. Nothing serious, no worries.. just a little recup time. I wish it was something frivolous like liposuction, but nope.

Tomorrow we’re headed to Seattle for Heather Corinna’s S.E.X. book release party. I’m looking forward to hopefully bumping into a few old friends while we’re there, as well as (of course) getting to help celebrate a book that is wonderful and needed. I have book orders to fulfill for a couple of friends here who are too impatient (and want them signed) to order from Amazon.

Happy Monday!
