Goldfrau Ceramic Dildo

I’ve wanted to try a Goldfrau ceramic dildo from the very first moment I knew such a thing existed.

I can hear what you are thinking: Ceramic? Like…plates? Plates that need to be handled with care or else they will break into a thousand tiny shards? How can that possibly be a good material for something meant to be used in the vagina?

Believe me, the Goldfrau is anything but fragile. Its designer, Judith Glover, points out that ceramics are used not only for dinnerware but also for knives, car engines and the exterior of the space shuttle. With 3-4mm thick walls and a durable, waterproof glaze, the toy will likely last your entire life–as long as you don’t drop it on a concrete floor or otherwise allow the toy to be chipped.

When I first lifted the dildo out of its package, I was surprised at how light and yet substantial it felt. The shaft is absolutely smooth; Glover claims that it will work for most women without any additional lube (if you do want to use lube, water or silicone will work equally well). You’ll notice that there are several different options for decorations on the shaft, from a simple black and white to a lovely floral pattern.

There’s no discernible curve in the Goldfrau’s shaft. Glover designed the toy to hit the g-spot without the curve one usually sees on toys made for this purpose. She intended for the Goldfrau to be easy for a partner to use, without any worry that a curve would end up pointing away from the g-spot.

On the opposite end of the Goldfrau is a gently curving ball which also works wonders against the g-spot. Included with the dildo is a leather carrying case for the times you want to take your dildo out into the world.

I enlisted the help of a friend in testing this lovely toy. Once warmed up by other sexy activities, he knelt between my knees and slid the straight shaft of the toy home. I probably had enough of my own lube going, but I added a bit more just in case. Come on, can you ever have too much lube? My friend fucked me silly with the toy, experimenting with the angle throughout.

The Goldfrau felt extremely cold when it first went in but it quickly warmed up to my body temperature. I love that initial cool shock; you could amplify this by running the toy under cold water or eliminate it by using warm water.

I found the weight of the toy to be really satisfying. It was just heavy enough to feel substantial without being so heavy that I ended up feeling battered. My friend was able to keep going with the toy until I begged him to stop. He then turned the toy around and had at me with the ball end. That felt great too. The ball rode against my g-spot no matter how the shaft twisted in his hands.

If you love g-spot toys that are both beautiful and incredibly sturdy, you’ll love the Goldfrau ceramic dildo. Instead of repeatedly buying cheaper dildos which will last a year or two (at best), you might want to consider investing in one that will be with you for as long as you care to get off. Heck, the Goldfrau will still be around for your grandchildren to wonder over when they clean out your house someday.

Goldfrau is an Australian company. You can order directly from the company’s website, but you’ll probably get faster delivery if you contact their American distributor, Good Vibrations.
