Good Clean Love Lube from Babeland

As I write this, it’s occurring to me how very much lube I use.

It’s astounding. Shocking, really. If I had any sense at all I’d learn the secrets of lube-making so as to bring in some extra cash and support my lube habit all at once.

Barring that, I’m happy to try out any lube sent my way, so with a happy heart I ripped open the sealed package containing a small bottle of Good Clean Love Lube from Babeland.

The selling points of this particular lube are that it’s 100% natural, cruelty-free, and 99.99% vegan. Good Clean Love contains no petro-chemicals nor parabens, and the company supports peace initiatives around the world with a portion of their profits.

Even bearing in mind that poison ivy, belladonna and uranium are also “100% natural,” the claims from Good Clean Love sound pretty positive. Some folks are sensitive to ingredients used in other lubes; if you are one of those people, it might be to your benefit to check out this one.

Otherwise, I cannot recommend Good Clean Love.

First, the texture of it was way off for me. It was so thick that I could barely get it out of the bottle. Eventually I had to abandon the flip-top and gloop out a big dollop onto my hands. Ew.

I’m not complaining about the thickness in itself; a thick lube can be a wonderful thing for buttsex, for example. However, thick lubes should be packaged in a way that allows the user to get to the lube without undue fuss, and Good Clean Love misses the mark on this count.

While the lube’s taste wasn’t horrible, it was also not great. I’d definitely think twice about putting a penis covered in this lube in my mouth. It’s really important to me to use lube that doesn’t taste bad, and Good Clean Love would not be anywhere near the top of my list of Great Tasting Lubes.

As it dries, the lube goes quite tacky. It can be reactivated by some water or a “wet kiss,” according to the label, but given the taste and texture of the lube, I’d be hesitant to give this lube even a dry kiss. I could not stay still after using the lube for masturbation. I had to get up right away and wash. I hate that.

Bottom line: If you’re seeking a lube that will be gentle on very sensitive skin, Good Clean Love might be worth a look. If you are lucky enough to tolerate other lubes, give this one a pass.
